Rajnikant to star in Robot Sequel : 

Plans are on for the sequel of Rajnikanth's Superhit film Enthiran (Robot).
It might start once Rajnikanth completes Rana.

Fans of superstar Rajnikant who can't get enough of him have a reason to rejoice. While Rajni is presently working on the live action-animation film Rana , buzz is that he will next be starring in the sequel of the blockbuster hit film Robot.

If one remembers, Robot ended on a note where it gave scope for a sequel. And with the popularity and acclaim that the film has received, it is but natural for the makers to think of a second installment of the superhit film. The news came out when the cinematographer of Robot , Rathnavelu recently said that plans were on for the sequel. The same team of Robot including Rajnikanth, director Shankar, producer Sun Pictures, music director A.R Rahman and cinematographer Rathnavelu will be part of the sequel. Rajnikanth is presently working on Rana while Shankar is finishing his Tamil remake of 3 Idiots titled Nanban.
Once they are through with their respective films, work will start on Robot - Part -2 

Akshay kumar as Villain Dr. Pichard in Rajnikanth's Robot-2 :-

That's what we thought when we saw Akshay Kumar's look in upcoming Indian film Robot-2 in which the 52-year-old actor plays the antagonist opposite superstar Rajnikanth.

Akshay's character in the film, named Dr Richard, is reportedly a scientist who turns into a crow.

Robot-2, also referred to as robot-2, is a sequel to Rajnikanth's 2010 blockbuster (Robot in Hindi) where the superstar played a double role - the antagonist Chitti the robot and the hero, a scientist named Vaseegaran.

who created Chitti. He reprises both roles in robot-2.

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who is making his Tamil cinema debut with Rajnikanth-star sci-fi Action- Thriller Robot-2, will be seen playing an eccentric scientist in the film, which is currently on the floors here.

Akshay plays scientist Richard who, after an experiment goes wrong, turns crazy and loses his appearance. Akshay has undergone complete makeover for his role," a source from the film's unit said.

On Wednesday, photographs of Akshay's scientist avatar were leaked online, much to the astonishment of the makers.

The image was snapped at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, where the makers are currently shooting an important football sequence. The Delhi schedule will be wrapped up in the next two weeks. The team will next head to Morocco for another long schedule and will shoot important portions of the film, the source added.

Rajnikanth is yet to join the Delhi schedule. He's expected to join the sets from March 30. Akshay has major portion to be shot in the Delhi schedule, the source said.

Robot-2 might Start off its Shoot From 

December 18th :-

Robot-2 is defintely going to be a major news maker in the daye to come. This magnum opus outing of Director Shankar is Touted to kick Start its shoots from December 18th if Reports are to be Trusted.

 A known source confirms that the team is busy constructing a set in EVP World, Chennai. this set work is planned for 20 days and it is going to be a magnificent one in all aspects.
December 12th is the superster's Birthday as we all know and the film may have its Pooja on this auspicious day.
